Indonesian Journal of Politics and Area Studies https://ijpas.ub.ac.id/index.php/ijpas
The Indonesian Journal of Politics and Area Studies (IJPAS) is semi-annual international journal managed by the Department of Political Science, Universitas Brawijaya. Established to publish the results of empirical research or ideas about politics related to area studies. It is an intersection between the study of politics as a discipline and the explanation and understanding of the region as a geographical, cultural, social and strategic entity. Contributions are expected to come from a wide range of theories, approaches, paradigms and methodologies in political science, international relations and area studies from around the world. It does not rule out the possibility of an influx of debates from another social science and humanities disciplines that provide new insights, explanations and understandings intended to answer important questions of politics. IJPAS does not represent any particular scientific tradition and become an open space for all contributions to be made. However, it strongly recommends that the research conducted not take research objects that are too narrow, micro, local and only oriented to case studies.

We accept submission from all over the world. The processed data is sourced from the Central Statistics Board (BPS) and the General Election Commission (KPU) at the village level. The method used is logistic regression, with the dependent variable being vote acquisition. Concurrently, the independent variables encompass social and economic cohorts. This article demonstrates the absence of identity politics perform in the gubernatorial race in Banten. The electoral outcome of the gubernatorial election can be more comprehensively elucidated by an analysis of economic-driven electoral behavior.
Wahyu Prasetyawan Copyright (c) 2023 Wahyu Prasetyawan https://ijpas.ub.ac.id/index.php/ijpas/article/view/9 Mon, 04 Sep 2023 00:00:00 +0000
